Interesting Technologies to Keep an Eye on in 2022

1. Solar Geoengineering

In 2022, a group of scientists from Harvard expects to conduct an experiment called SCoPEx.  The essence of the experiment is to launch a balloon into the stratosphere, which will drop 2 kg of unnamed material.  After that, scientists will measure how it reacts to solar energy and dissipates it.

Vertical Trusses

In 2022, the Jones Food Company plans to open the world's largest vertical farm in the UK at 13,750 m².  The American company AeroFarms plans to do the same. Vertical farms allow you to grow greens indoors using a variety of technologies.  Thanks to this, you can save up to 95% of water compared to conventional farming.

Space Tourism

In 2021, Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic, Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, and Elon Musk's SpaceX sent civilian crews into space for the first time. Today, in many countries of the world there are deliveries of products from the supermarket, ready-made food and cafes and restaurants, and various goods from stores.  However, the Irish startup Manna has developed a new type of delivery of goods - using a drone.  Today, it already delivers books, food, and medicine to County Galway by air.
